Blurry Pictures About L.A Zine Fest

L.A. Zine Fest 2012 was yesterday but since I worked the graveyard shift it seems like it happen years ago. Anyway, it was held in a giant bookstore in downtown LA. The Last Bookstore. What the what? There is a bookstore in DTLA? Above, panel discussion on DIY artspaces...
Below: zines and people.

A. Roth:

Glad the windows were open.

Cactus dick: you just had to be there or I guess I could've used flash.

More people.

In conclusion, I need a camera. The end.

Two Shows ending January 1: Part 1

Say what you will about Mr. Brainwash but after seeing him in person I realized why so many people have trusted him. This man is a ball of positive energy! The art show is a whole building of art/graffiti (3/4 floors, I lost count). My favorite was the top floor. All the walls were cover in writing and something really beautiful happen at sunset. Duh, the sun went down but being there you felt this weird awe moment of beauty. The show has been extended to January 1st & 2nd (Closed Dec 31).

RECESSION DEPRESSION, Part I
Athena's art was stolen from an earlier show so it was taken down when the opening closed. Sucks for you because her watercolors are amazing.
